I use DELETED_PAR_VALUE – that works for me.

So …

IF actualGUID = _startID THEN
	rrr = DELETED_PAR_VALUE ("aSurf", aSurf_val) ! get value from old
		bSurf = aSurf_val
		PARAMETERS bSurf = bSurf ! apply to new

	actualGUID = _endID
ENDIF
