Get dimension from part of object to schedule

Hi,
My first real fooray into gdl so be gentle 🙂 I’ve scripted a few lamps with editable hotspots and they’re working out as planned. MVO-control is next. However I want to schedule the height (UI-parameter) of the lamp. The object height returns the whole height lamp+cable and I don’t know how to get the only the lamp height. I would rather not like to use library part parameters…

If you don’t have a separate parameter for the height of the lamp itself, then you won’t be able to schedule it.
