Yes the GDL centre is a good idea.
No I don’t like this forum.
I can’t always remember when I last read the posts and even when I can it doesn’t work.
I read posts about 6 hours ago – there was nothing from CadImage then – I am sure.
Now I look again and there is a post from CadImage 9 hours 44 minutes ago.
I haven’t even been at work for 9 hours (yet) and it wasn’t because I left the browser open and hadn’t refreshed – I started fresh this morning – and I am sure it wasn’t there until now.
Maybe I am mistaken.
So I could easily have missed this post – I like to read everything if I can – you never know what you might learn.I like the Architalk forum or the Developers forum where new post are highlighted and don’t change until they are read – no matter how long it has been.
Barry.

Barry,
Today we activated a plugin that shows a “NEW” label on each forums and topics, which contains new posts since you last opened that topic. I hope it helps.

Thanks Gergely.
Makes it much easier to spot the new posts.I still prefer the phpBB forums though.
This will take a little getting used to.

The “new” button is good and what I like about the emails from here is that they contain the entire reply so we can see at a glance whether we want to visit the topic and reply.
Any chance of an RSS feed for the forum? It’s so easy to follow all the discussions on AC-talk through the various RSS feeds. This forum would need just one feed.

You can simply add “https://gdl.graphisoft.com/forums/feed” to any RSS readers, and it works.

Aha! Thank you Gergely!
One request for a tweak to the RSS feed. Right now, the original post in a thread is titled, say, “Thread Name” and subsequent ones are titled “Reply to: Thread Name”. This seems to prevent grouping by subject in the feed reader (in my case, Thunderbird). Is it possible to eliminate this “Reply to:”?

I put it on my list, but I can’t promise anything about that…

Could we please have the forum hierarchy link duplicated at the bottom of the posts or at least have a ‘return to top’ link so we don’t need to scroll all the way back to the top as the posts start to get longer and longer?
Or a “next unread post” button would be nice.Barry.

I found something, so it seems that I could eliminate the ‘Reply to: ‘ tags from the RSS feed, but I’m not sure that it doesn’t affect any other functions here… Now we give it a try 🙂
