LP XML Converter – change Main ID

Hello,
I am looking for a way How to change Main ID via LP XML to avoid duplicated library (if I make copy of GDL object in XML file).

Example of my process:
1) develop an object in one language
2) convert GDL to XML file
3) copy XML file and translated them to different language (parameters description, localization string, object description and keywords)
4) convert XML back to GDL
5) open translated GDL and manually make “save as” for every object

I want to make step 5) automatically, so Is there function for it in LP XML? Can you help me please with this?

Hi Pavel,

LP_XMLConverter does not have a function for that.

I suggest to change the libparts’ Main ID during step 3. It is in the first lines of the xml, as MainGUID="0884EDB2-4B1B-4247-874E-36DB88381443"

You can create new guids with many editors, or you can use online tools, for example:
https://www.guidgenerator.com

Thank you for quick answer. This solution also cross my mind, but I wanted to avoid it (no perticular reason). But It is probably only way for automatization of the process.
